Privacy policy
Effective September 29, 2026
RemitBridge is a free app that compares the cost of sending money abroad. It is run by Angad Kochar as a personal project. This policy covers the RemitBridge mobile app and this site. In short: comparing prices needs no account, we don't sell data, and there is no advertising or third-party tracking.
Without an account
You can compare prices without signing up. The app still records how it's used, to count users and see which features help. Each record holds:
- a random ID created when the app is first opened, which is not linked to your name, device or advertising ID;
- what happened, such as "comparison run", with the choices involved, such as the route and the amount you checked;
- whether you're on iOS or Android, the app version, and the time.
We don't collect your location, contacts, device identifiers or advertising ID, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
With an account
An account is optional. If you create one, we also store:
- your email address, or the account details Apple or Google share if you sign in with them;
- anything you choose to save, such as comparisons and transfers you enter yourself (provider, amounts, rate, date and any note);
- the usage records above, linked to your account while you're signed in.
Saved items are private to your account. Database rules stop anyone else from reading them.
Why we use it
- To run the app: signing you in and keeping what you save.
- To measure and improve it: counting users, comparisons and features used. We only report these as totals, never about an individual.
We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who processes it
- Supabase hosts the database and sign-in, in the United States.
- Resend sends the sign-in code email, if you sign in with email.
- Apple or Google handle sign-in if you choose them.
Each processes data only to provide its service to RemitBridge.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Account, then Delete account. This deletes your account and everything saved to it at once. Usage records made while you were signed in are kept only as anonymous totals: the link to your account is removed. You can also email us to ask for deletion.
Children
RemitBridge is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted in the app.
